When I think of summertime, I think of open air, crickets, sunshine and the smell of grass. And that's what I would describe this summertime wedding at Compass Rose Suites in Prince Edward County. This day was a wild one thanks to the weather. It was insanely hot and humid and would pour rain one second and be sunny the next.
But I'm convinced that Hilary and Brian are lucky! During our sunrise engagement session, it was supposed to rain all day, but just as we got to the location, the sun burst behind the clouds and gave us a spectacular sky to work with.
It was the same at their wedding. While it was cloudy and rainy all day, the sun came out to play right around golden hour and gave us a spectacular warm glow to start the evening.
Compass Rose Suites
Compass Rose Suites is an incredible wedding venue in Prince Edward County. It features a GORGEOUS modern farmhouse that is big enough for both sides of the wedding party to get ready all in one place, and still not see each other. There's also a lovely contemporary barn, which is where Hilary and Brian held their ceremony thanks to the weather.
We also used the greenhouse for the First Look and it was used as the reception room after the ceremony. Hilary and Brian also held their reception en plein air under a white tent with pretty patio lights.

What Hilary and Brian have to say...
"Olivia is so talented at what she does - her expertise is so much more than just the photos... she has a true knack for connecting with people and capturing authentic moments of pure magic! She captured our wedding and who we are perfectly. So many friends have told us that these are the best wedding photos they've ever seen! Huge gratitude. We had so much fun working with Olivia!"
