Valley Ridge Family Farm is a magical outdoor wedding venue in Blue Mountain. Maybe it's the rolling fields, the golden light, and that soft country quiet that makes you breathe a little deeper...or maybe it's how having a wedding here gives you the feeling of space and being surrounded by nature while you celebrate with your people.

A 'Howdy Do' to the New Mr. & Mrs.

Hannah and Cory's story started behind the bar in Blue Mountain, but it didn't take long for love to pour over into life outside of work. After university Hannah moved to Toronto and Cory knew he had to prove how serious he was by driving back-and-forth from Barrie until she finally knew she never wanted to say goodbye. While travelling together in Italy, they fell in love with Hugo Spritzes and Limoncello. These two love the outdoors so it only made sense that their wedding would take place under the forest canopy at Valley Ridge Family Farm. You can just tell through their photos that their life together will be one of fun and laughter.

Hannah got ready with her girls (her maid of honour even did her makeup!) before slipping on her cathedral-length veil and getting ready to say 'I do'. Cory and his groomsmen sipped on Hennessey to calm the morning nerves before he saw his soon-to-be-wife. Under the canopy of autumn coloured leaves and along the laneway of Valley Ridge Family Farm they had their first look, while guests were transported to the ceremony space by horse and buggy.

The couple brought their love of Limoncello to their ceremony with a little bottle to take a shot from during their vows. A little shooter of Limoncello, ended up in them finishing the whole bottle! There were so many happy tears in the audience during that ceremony… his parents couldn't keep it together. During cocktail hour, Smoke and Timber passed hors d'oeuvres to guests in the paddock while the couple signed and sealed their marriage paperwork.

Hannah's sweet reaction to their gallery: "OMG OK we just looked at all of them!!!!! They are so so amazing and I’m cryingggggg 😭😭 I loved the pics they look amazing thank you so much 😭❤️❤️❤️ You captured every single moment of the day I’m so obsessed with this gallery!!"

Golden Hour on the Farmstead

Valley Ridge Family Farm was a lovely venue for this elevated backyard barbeque style wedding. The golden light, the autumn colours and the rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for this special day. During couples portraits, we got to explore the property a bit, even adding a little country flair with Cory's cowboy hat he got on his bachelor trip to Texas. I loved the other nods to a rustic style wedding with long harvest tables where everyone gathered for dinner, the wagon rides, the horses in the paddock, the delicious meal catered by Smoke and Timber and, of course, pies for deserts!

Valley Ridge Family Farm wedding

Valley Ridge Family Farm was a dream for me as a photographer. Everywhere you look there's a natural beauty just begging to be captured by my camera. The property gives me endless opportunities for variety: romantic portraits tucked in the tall grass or leaning against the paddock rails. Maybe laughter filled group shots out on the lawn? Intimate moments under the string lights once the dancing starts? The light here is just chefs kiss: soft, warm and perfect for storytelling. I love that it feels authentic and down to earth but still refined, which always shines through in photos I take here. It's a place where beauty and love feels effortless, and I'm itching to get back!
