Vintage Romance & Glamour
It's so special when I get to photograph an engagement session that is rooted in meaning. Throw in a dash of vintage romance, and you've got magic on your hands! Roxanne and Dyer came into their session knowing exactly what they wanted. They came in with the intention that these images would live on in their Save the Dates and on the walls of their home together for years to come.
With Dyer growing up in the Collingwood and Blue Mountains area, it felt natural to build the session there. Add in a butter-yellow classic Mustang, and suddenly we were leaning fully into an old-school, romantic vision. Roxanne and Dyer envisioned driving this car down a laneway for a romantic getaway, and I knew Valley Ridge Farms would be the perfect backdrop.
The result felt straight out of a 90s Hollywood love story. Glamorous, intentional, and timeless.
What truly made the session shine was who they are together. Dyer describes Roxanne as “very kind and thoughtful” with a work ethic he deeply admires. Equally as sweet, Roxanne calls Dyer her “calming force.” They are, in their words, “the ultimate team,” always supporting and challenging one another from one adventure to the next.
Creating this session with them was such a joy. Equal parts nostalgic + romantic, and totally, completely them. And yes, that car absolutely stole the show!
