Christmas in July? Not quite. I wanted to share a previous engagement shoot I had done prior to launching my website. Jaime and John were wonderful sports for my Christmas Tree Farm engagement shoot idea and I love how the photos turned out.

Jaime and I both LOVE Christmas with a capital C, so I thought, “What better way to show the love between Jaime and John than at a Christmas Tree Farm?” Evergreen Tree Farm, located in Guelph, Ontario is one of my favourite places. I’ve been going there for the last decade to pick out a tree for my home, and I knew how photogenic the place was.

I was hoping that by late November, there would be a light dusting of snow, but it was an unseasonably warm start to winter, even though it was cold enough for rosy cheeks and a cold nose.

Still, the couple looked magical in the forest of trees. I love the pop of burgundy against the evergreen. This shoot just makes me want to curl up next to a fire with some hot cocoa and put on some Christmas tunes.

Jaime and John wanted to include their lovable but aloof (a-floof more like it) dog Regis, who posed so majestically for us.

By the end of the session we all had to do some light jogging through the trees to keep warm, but I think it was all worth it to capture this beautiful Christmas Tree Farm engagement session.

What they had to say...

Jaime and John

Olivia organized the entire outing. She knew where she wanted to head to get the perfect photos but was also so enthusiastic to deviate when we decided we wanted to try some silly photos (which actually turned out rather nice too!)

I really appreciated the variety of photos we received. They were well-edited and will be enjoyed for years to come. We had our dog with us who is quite energetic and Olivia captured the most beautiful pictures of our boy.
