If you've been toying with the idea of an intimate elopement in Italy, I'm thrilled you're here and I can't wait to show you how romantic, magical (and surprisingly easy) it can be to make this dream into a reality! Just because you're eloping doesn't mean you can't have beautiful and memorable core moments for your wedding day. Mari & Wyatt’s elopement weekend was rooted in intention. A romantic morning at Fiordo Di Furore

Fiordo di Furore is located on the Amalfi highway, halfway between the towns of Positano and Amalfi, and boasts gorgeous blue waters and a unique beach experience. The day before their elopement, M+W met at this stunning location tucked into the cliffs of Amalfi. After climbing down over 170 steps into the fjord, we wandered the pebble beach and explored a little quiet moment as the sun rose to illuminate the cliff walls. This picturesque backdrop offered the sounds of crashing waves echoing beneath the arched stone bridge. We wanted to have just a casual adventure to soak in the beauty of where they were. 

A Bucket-List Boat Tour in Capri

Their morning excursion to Fiordo di Furore was followed by a private boat tour around Capri and a dip in the Mediterranean to enjoy the sunshine! Renting a boat for the day in Capri? It’s hands down one of the most dreamy, "just-us" experiences you can have. You can cruise around the island of Capri, slip into hidden coves only reachable by water, and swim in the kind of blue that doesn't even look real. Seeing the coast from the shore is pretty great, but seeing it from the water is breathtaking! M + W anchored off the coast and jumped in feet first!

Wedding Morning at Villa Vettica

On the morning of their elopement, Mari and Wyatt shared a coffee together before going off to get ready separately at Villa Vettica. This villa is nestled high in the cliffs above the sea (and overlooking former famous Italian actor Sofia Loren’s private villa). Mari did her own makeup and hair as soft morning light filtered through the windows, anticipation built quietly. The morning was peaceful and elegant, the perfect setting for the afternoon to come.

Villa Vettica is a beautifully restored 18th/19th‑century villa nestled into the cliffs of Amalfi, in the charming hamlet of Vettica Minore (part of Praiano). With 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and space to sleep up to 16 guests, it’s ideal for families, private groups, or couples wanting privacy and room to unwind on one of the most special days of their lives.

Vows On The Water

Later, they boarded a private boat - just the two of them and the open Mediterranean. With Positano as their backdrop, Mari & Wyatt exchanged vows on deck with no distractions and just the gentle roll of the waves. They were able to take deep breaths, laugh out loud and promise their forevers to each other without worrying about anyone but themselves. A truly immersive day, steeped in lemons, love and magic.
