Figuring out what to include in your at-home lifestyle engagement session
Hanna and Chris had one simple request for their engagement session: “Just document us as we are right now.” We started brainstorming things in their everyday life that they love to do together! They love whipping up cocktails, getting lost in a good book, and walking their dog Norman. Naturally, this meant we built a session around all of that! And then there was that magical spot with trees arching like nature’s own cathedral that they love to stroll pasts so we had to include it!
We gathered all the things they love, sprinkled in some golden sunset magic, and voilà!! A gorgeous, playful engagement session that felt totally them and memorialized this time of their lives together (and don't worry, Norman got his cameo too, of course!)
Bringing comfort to your at-home engagement session
My kind of people are the type of clients who make your job feel like hanging out with friends… except you get to take photos while they sip cocktails and laugh at each other’s jokes. They’re effortlessly themselves, which means their connection shines without any awkward posing. Hanna and Chris were exactly this! So at ease with each other and able to lean into the moment together. Norman, their four-legged sidekick, brought extra personality (and a little chaos, which is always welcome). Clients like these remind me why I love what I do!
Lifestyle Sessions - Are They Right For You?
If you're a homebody, love your space, enjoy hanging out, cooking, reading, hosting or just genuinely love being at home, an at-home lifestyle session might be the perfect spot for your engagement session. Think about the activities you like to do together, and we can build those into a session crafted just for you. I want to find those spots that feel like “yours” and turn them into memories you can look back on and smile decades from now.
"When we thought about getting our engagement pictures done all we wanted was something that felt really true to us. Olivia couldn't have done a better job...So excited to look back at these pictures and remember how amazing this part of our life was."
